Environmental Law Film Festival & Award Ceremony
In March each year at the U of Maryland in Baltimore:
Professor Percival’s Environmental Law class has an unusual assignment: pick an environmental issue they care about and make a short documentary film about it. Each year students in the class have formed small groups to produce some remarkable films.

Shoot your own “green” film locally!
Creative Alliance at the Patterson (previous entry), 3134 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21224, (410) 276-1651, currently has Final Cut Pro G4 video/ film editing equipment available at special low introductory rates for certain of its members.
And, within the next year, Creative Alliancemm (CAmm) will rent film and video and other editing equipment at low cost to its members.

MSN’s and TreeHugger’s “Green Theatre” contest:
Submit a 1-2 minute video in which you answer the question “What are you doing in your own backyard to help fight climate change?” Submission deadline is June 23rd.
Prize is five pairs of tickets, along with air travel and lodging, to a Live Earth concert to be held July 7th at London’s Wembley Stadium. More than 100 performers are scheduled to appear, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bon Jovi, Snoop Dogg, Melissa Etheridge, the Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Duran Duran, Korn, Pharrell, the Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Enrique Iglesias, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.
Proceeds will create a foundation to combat climate change led by The Alliance for Climate Protection, which is chaired by Al Gore.
